Discovery Groups

Sunday evenings 5:00 – 6:00pm

Discovery groups are small group Bible studies divided by age and gender that meet in homes with an adult leader, giving students an opportunity to discover new things about God’s Word while building a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, other believers, and a caring adult leader.  Some groups are also participating in local mission opportunities and other ministries that they choose to be involved with on a regular basis.

Open Gym

Most Sunday’s in the Christian Outreach Center (COC) 6:30pm.  Check the EBC calendar.

FISH – Fellowship In Someone’s Home

These events are once a month on Sunday evenings and are hosted by one of our own youth’s family.  These parents prepare an activity or social event, food and then lead a small quick bible study.  Check the EBC Calendar for dates.

5th Quarters (Fall Football Season Activity)

After every Poquoson home football game, we open up our Christian Outreach Center (COC) to all Middle and High School Students for pizza, games and fellowship.  We insist on the Students signing in and giving contact info for parents.  They are not allowed to leave the COC until parent pick-ups.  Check the EBC Calendar for dates.

Camps and Retreats

EBC Students may attend a variety of mission focused camps hosted by EBC or other churches in Virginia, or a FUGE camp (  Some camps may be a few days and others are week-long.  Previous Virginia camps have served populations on Eastern Shore and Appalachia, as well as our local communities.  Student campers participate in Bible study, worship activities and recreational programming designed to take Students out of their normal routine and place them into an environment that is focused on life-change through relationship with Christ.  Check the EBC Calendar for Summer 2018 dates.  Costs for each camp will be announced as plans are finalized.
