What Will ebcKids be Learning in July?

Sunday School and Children’s Church

WEEK 1 BIG IDEA:  We can dream big with God.

WEEK 2 BIG IDEA: We can have faith in God.

WEEK 3  BIG IDEA: We can count on God’s promises.

WEEK 4  BIG IDEA:  We can ask God for what we need.

WEEK 5 BIG IDEA:  We can be used by God.

We learn about so many incredible humans — past and present — who have changed the world using their influence, their voice, their dreams, and their passion. Kids might find it hard to relate to these dreamers, though, and ask themselves, “Can God use me for something that grand?” In Up In The Air, kids will learn through the stories of Elisha that we can dream big with God, have faith in God, count on God’s promises, ask God for what we need, and be used by God. The sky isn’t the limit anymore . . . not with God’s promises at work in our lives!

Sunday Mornings

ebcNursery is provided during Sunday School and Worship Services.  Volunteers are trained by the Children’s Director and provide a secure and loving environment for babies and toddlers.

ebcPreschool and ebcKids meet during Sunday School (9:15 am) and Worship (10:30 am).  We believe God desires for all of His church to join in worship together, therefore, our children experience worship with the rest of the congregation to prepare them and equip them to be the church’s future before transitioning to age appropriate teaching and activities.

ebcKids (K – 5th grade) is located on the 2nd floor of the Sanctuary building.  Look for the ebckids sign at the bottom of the stairs.

ebcNursery and ebcPreschool are  located on the first floor of the Sanctuary building.  Check out the gallery of photos below.

Safety is our top priority.  All teachers and volunteers must pass a back-ground check prior to working in ebcNursery, ebcPreschool and ebcKids areas.  All teachers and volunteers also attend Safety Training workshops.

Please sign in your children on the first floor at the security station prior to going upstairs to the ebcKids classrooms or entering the ebcNursery and ebcPreschool area.  Each child will receive a unique security badge, and parents will obtain a security assurance identifier used to pick up their child after church.

New to Poquoson?

If you are checking out churches for kids’ programs, you may not know that, in addition to our children’s area and nursery, our Christian Outreach Center (COC) located at the back of the campus is a GYM, complete with bathrooms and kitchen.  A playground is located adjacent to one side door and a covered picnic shelter is at the opposite end.  There’s always something exciting for ebcKids, RAIN or SHINE!!!  Come meet other parents, and welcome to Poquoson!!
